I earned my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University Los Angeles. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from New York University, where I also minored in Psychology.
After graduating NYU, I spent several years working in the Arts and Entertainment industry as a performer, writer, and in various positions behind the scenes. During this period I realized that my work in the arts, while fun and exciting, left me unfulfilled. I had always wanted to help people and was deeply intrigued by human behavior and psychology. Eventually I made the decision to go back to school to earn my graduate degree.
With over 10 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, I currently serve as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients in Huntsville, AL. I have experience working in residential treatment programs for addictions and co-occuring disorders as well as eating disorders. I have also worked with children and families in a social service setting and have provided counseling in a community mental health clinic.
My approach to therapy is interactive and collaborative. I provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
